Take the opportunity to view our facilities and gain an insight into why St Kevin’s is such a fantastic school. The Principal, Ms Sarah Barry, and the Deputy Principal, Mr Dara Gill will address parents and students in the library at 8pm. Classrooms will be open from 7pm to 8.30 pm

THE TRANSITION YEAR STUDENTS IN ST. KEVIN’S COLLEGE SUPPORT THE HOPE FOUNDATION
In 2015 the Transition year students were visited by a representative from the Hope Foundation, Jayanne Maher. She gave a talk on the work the Foundation carries out in India. The Hope Foundation was set up by Maureen Forrester in 1989.
Jayanne described Kolkata and the lives of thousands of vulnerable children who are living alone on the streets, working long hours, day after day simply to survive. It really is a truly miserable existence for many…….. Read more
ANNUAL BAG PACKING EVENT FOR ST.KEVIN’S COLLEGE TRANSITION YEAR STUDENTS 2016.
On Thursday the 20th October and Friday the 21st October the Transition Year students in St.Kevin’s College took part in the annual bag packing event for Aware , in Tesco Clearwater, Finglas.
Aware is a voluntary organisation founded in 1989 and supports people whose lives are affected by depression, a debilitating and often hidden illness affecting 450,000 Irish people every year.

Science Week in St Kevin’s College
This year there were a number of external trips for the junior and senior cycle students for Science week (held from the 8th to the 15th of November).
On Monday the daily screenings of the Science of the Simpsons began at 1.15 in Lab 1. Junior cycle students were laughing and learning about the effects of gravity, friction, dimensional travel, radiation and nutrition with Homer and the gang. Read more on the school blog.
November 2015 – Strength Based Coaching and Guidance
Ms. Keaney and Ms. Kelly attended a course on “Strength Based Coaching and Guidance” in Copenhagen.
Both hope to bring back all they have learned to St. Kevin’s soon!
October 2015 Erasmus + programme: Clear Leadership
Mr. Byrne, Mr. Shannon and Mr. Gill are currently in the Alps attending a course in ‘Clear Leadership’. This is part of the Erasmus + programme and is completely funded by the EU. Many more of our staff will be improving their skills over the year as part of Erasmus +. Very exciting times ahead for St. Kevin’s!
